"DREAM-xploration" Workshop Series
It's time to jump into the driver's seat of your life, and make your dreams a reality!
Is it time for your students to pick a college major or decide on their next steps? We’ve got you. Our motto here is simple - Make a career out of your passions and gifts, and you will never feel like you're working.
There is an issue occurring among our youth.
Students are arbitrarily or ill-advisedly picking majors for college, and
1) shifting to a new major, as they didn’t have proper exposure to what the major and career-entailed, and therefore, often staying in college longer, and paying more money
2) leaving school, as their major of choice is not connected to their talents or passions, and they are not excelling
3) sticking it out and graduating anyways, and working in a field that they are not fulfilled within, or shifting career fields
Dream-Xploration was created as a solution to this issue.
Over a 10 session series, we will help guide your students through a process of self-discovery (as honestly, they are probably not thinking about the rest of their life). We're going to assess their personality, natural talents, and interests, and also, figure out what bothers them (passion areas), to give a clue to what "problem" they may be here to solve. From there, we will expose them to career options within their field/s of choice, and an actionable plan to get them to their goals, including: the best major and minor to pursue, a list of colleges that would be a good fit, internships to consider, and projects to take on.
ELEMENTARY + MIDDLE SCHOOL
"Confidence Builder" Interactive Speech
Book TAMISH to come speak to your students for your next assembly! Elementary and Middle School is a very important time of development for students. Children enter this world as fearless and confident babies and toddlers, but many begin to shrink and become more self-conscious, as the years go on, due to teasing, fear of rejection or humiliation, or even the fear of being different. Let's change that!
During this Interactive Speech, TAMISH will speak with your students about the importance of their uniqueness, being confident in who they are, treating others the way they would like to be treated, respecting and appreciating the "teachers" in their lives, and lastly about being GREAT, and excelling in school.
Your students will be up and moving, and will even take time to fill out their 'Confidence Builder' takeaway. It is sure to be a memorable experience!

As an artist, TAMISH has had a lifetime of experience in the arts (singing, songwriting, dancing, choreographing, performance poetry, and acting), and knows how it can be a great tool to build confidence, and for self-expression.
